Oh, Drew really wanted nothing to do with his cake! He felt the icing and gave us this look like "What are you trying to feed me?" No smashing cake or craziness. The only reason he has some on his mouth is because we tried to make him eat some!
Your post about the year anniversary brought tears to my eyes because as we embark on the year anniversary of Kevin's diagnosis, I find myself thinking the same thoughts as you. The interesting thing is that we have come to the same conclusion as you have too. We both have wonderful little boys who have taught us so much and we still have a wonderful journey to take part in. Congratulations, Drew, on your first year!
